Halifax
Halifax, the capital of the province of Nova Scotia in Canada and a port on the Atlantic coast, is considered the main economic center of eastern Canada with a fairly high concentration of government agencies and private companies. It has one of the largest natural harbors in the entire planet and serves as a naval base. Historians believe that it was Halifax that gave rise to curling.
