KNIXHULT pendant lamp
When developing the KNIKSHULT series, we decided to use those parts of the plant that are usually rejected to create an expressive design. This allowed to reduce the waste of natural material.
Soft diffused light creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere in the room.
Each lamp is unique, as it is handmade from bamboo with natural color variations.
Dust with the lampshade can be removed with a soft brush.

Bamboo
Bamboo is stronger and more flexible than most types of wood, because it consists of longer fibers. Bamboo, which belongs to the family of cereals, can grow almost a meter a day and produce twice as much oxygen as many woody crops. This plant becomes recyclable after 4 – 6 years after planting, and after cutting, it immediately releases new stems, so it does not require re-planting.
Eco-friendly design
Often bamboo of a darker tone is rejected at the factory. In the fixtures of the KNIKSHULT series, such material has become an element of design, which allowed us to reduce the amount of useless waste.
Designer Emma Albers
“We wanted to create such a lamp, the production of which would allow us to be careful about nature. That is why we chose bamboo as the material for the KNIKSHULT lamp. This plant absorbs more carbon dioxide than is released during its processing. When we visited the factory, we noticed that the darker bamboo is rejected, so we developed an ornament that allows the use of materials of different colors. I am happy that we chose such a wonderful material that we were able to rationally use raw materials and that as a result we got a beautiful and durable lamp. ”
